Writing is my catharsis. So why the hell have I been avoiding it?

I don’t have the urge to write as often as I used to … and I absolutely HATE it when I don’t feel drawn to the Howdygram. I love the Howdygram. Writing is my catharsis, it’s therapeutic, and it always makes me happy.  Therefore if you can figure out why the hell I’ve been avoiding it, please send an email at your earliest convenience and let me know. Thank you. In the meantime I’ll try to do better, because writing one post a week is abysmal.

Maybe sharing some new FREE FONTS would help get me back into the swing of things here. Today I’ve got an exciting herd that includes excellent display faces (“Old Lighthouse, “Jack Reacher,” “Gloomy Night”), beautiful scripts (“Truelike,” “Summertime,” “Supercup”) and a few cool whatnots that don’t really fit into any category (“Mystery,” Old Harbour Dingbats,” “Sweet Peas”). Download links will appear after the graphic in case you want any of these for your personal collection. “Sugar Plum” is available directly from yours truly by email.

I guess I ought to fill you in on the latest news from Howdygram headquarters. My mobile podiatrist was here yesterday to inspect your blogger’s crappy feet. Dr. Wright discovered that most of the pain in my deformed baby toe was being caused by three pieces of a buried ingrown toenail plus a fancy fungus infection that I can’t pronounce. He removed the nail pieces immediately, and the procedure was relatively painless, for which I was exceptionally grateful. By the time Dr. Wright was finished the pain had already started to subside, and today I have almost zero toe pain whatsoever. IT’S A FUCKING MIRACLE! If I also didn’t have plantar fasciitis, gout, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, osteoarthritis and a huge, recurring blood blister on the bottom of my left heel, I’D ALMOST BE ABLE TO WALK! Woo-hoo!

I would also like to report that The Howdygram Store on Zazzle is expanding its product line in time for the holidays! I’ve already uploaded my Hanukkah card designs; I’ll be working on new Christmas card artwork next week. I also have plans to add a category of personalized goodies just for kids … including note cards, lunch boxes, pencil cases, night lights, poufs (mini ottomans for extra seating) and very cool custom gift wrap! It might be too ambitious to design everything in time for holiday shopping, but I’ll give it a shot. (Stay tuned.)

In the meantime, here are some of my new Hanukkah card designs …

At this point I’m ready for a late-morning nap (I’ve been awake since 5 a.m.) and a handful of pain meds. Please remember the Alamo if at all possible … and thank you for reading this!
