Frankly, you can never have too many woodland animals.

Shalom, good morning and happy Tuesday to you and yours. It’s 3:15 a.m., and for a pleasant change of pace I’ve got Sam here in the study with me! He’s wide awake with a fresh pot of coffee, feeling the after-effects of too many long naps on Monday, and I’m enjoying my usual upside-down “night owl” schedule. Deal with it, okay?

Oy. I just discovered something brand new here on Blogger.com ... the “automatic save” feature now includes a STUPID BLINKING BUTTON that seems to kick in when I’m typing the Howdygram. AND IT NEVER STOPS! The following menu bar appears on the upper right corner of the Howdygram’s composition screen, and every two or three seconds the “save” button blinks back and forth from white to orange to white to orange to white to orange ... you get my drift. Somebody really deserves a whack on the head for this. I hate shit that BLINKS.

I’ve got a nice little group of FREE FONTS for you today, including a pair of useful scripts and an interesting display font called “Mother Hen.” I think my favorite of the three would be “King-Size,” because it has three different styles that can be layered together for a highly thrilling dotted effect (see below). Download links will appear below the graphic.

I also have some new graphics and high-resolution background textures to show you. All of them were free yesterday from Creative Market. I’ll be able to use everything here to design products for The Howdygram Store. For instance, the Wet Paint textures will make interesting background art for tote bags, coasters, playing cards, iPhone cases, mouse pads, clipboards, padfolios and so on, and I’ll use the woodland animals for kids’ greeting cards. Frankly, you can never have too many woodland animals. (This is a hot tip. I’ll wait while you write it down.)

It’s almost 6 a.m. now. Sam is back in bed and I’m considering a quick shlep back to the family room so I can sleep through one of my favorite movies, either “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” (1977) starring Richard Drefuss and Melida Dillon, or “Life with Father” (1947) starring William Powell and Irene Dunne. I’ve got about 100 fine films stored on our DVR.

And on that cheerful note I’ll wrap up this Howdygram post and wish y’all a pleasant Tuesday. First, though, I want to finish my glass of sugar-free Crush Pineapple drink ... THE BEVERAGE OF CHAMPIONS! Thank you for reading this. My regards to the family.
