Sam is coming home from California today. Oy, finally! To say I’ve missed my adorable string bean is the understatement of the year. To fill the time until his flight lands at 4:50 this afternoon, I’ll be: 1) working on this Howdygram post; 2) answering assorted emails from my best friend Sandi; 3) eating things; and 4) taking a nice shower with seriously hot water. All of these will be accomplished in no particular order whatsoever. Thank you.

If you’re wondering how everybody’s doing so far on season 23 of “Dancing with the Total Losers Stars,” former Texas governor (and all-around ignoramus) Rick Perry was eliminated last night during the second episode for his thoroughly atrocious rendition of the paso doble. This performance actually made my eyes burn. Let me know what YOU think, okay?

Shimon Peres, 93, a Nobel prize winner, “warrior for peace” and the ninth president of Israel from 2007 to 2014 died today at a hospital in Ramat Gan. Peres was one of the last surviving pillars of Israel’s founding generation. Leaders and heads of state from around the world will attend Peres’ funeral by invitation only.
President Obama, former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton have been invited; all three are expected to attend. Also invited are Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State John Kerry, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May, Prince Charles, the leaders of Canada, Germany, France and Australia, and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. All have described the ninth Prime Minister of Israel as both a friend and an inspiration.
Nobody invited Donald Trump. Earlier today on Fox News he said the funeral is “rigged.”
And now it’s time for that hot shower I promised myself and maybe a quick nap before Sam gets home. His flight lands about 90 minutes from now. Thank you for reading this!
