Momentous Howdygram tweaks for the New Year.

At the moment I’m so tired I feel paralyzed. I tried to nap this morning after an early lunch — late breakfast? — of braunschweiger on low-carb pumpernickel except I kept waking up on the chaise every few minutes for no reason. Finally around 1 p.m. I decided to check my blood sugar, and sure enough ... IT WAS VERY LOW, and your brain won’t let you sleep through hypoglycemia. Which means now I’m being clobbered with a double whammy of exhaustion ... severe lack of sleep coupled with trying to rebound from a blood sugar low. Basically, I just want my maid to go home already so I can take another nap!

Hey. Have you been paying attention? I entertained myself this afternoon with a whole bunch of MOMENTOUS HOWDYGRAM TWEAKS! For no particular reason whatsoever all of the following graphics are brand new and/or revised today. Comprehensive explanations follow for your possible interest. Please note that all of these graphics are liable to change again (and again) without any advance notice whatsoever. Thank you.
  1. A new and different “The” for the Howdygram’s banner. I like this one a LOT.
  2. A new and different “The” for the copyright crapola in the sidebar. (It matches the banner.)
  3. Slightly revised navigation buttons with a darker gray background, and some of the text is red now just for the hell of it.
  4. The typewriter is 10% bigger than before and “Hi. Seriously.” was changed from 100% black to 85% black. (Who cares, right?)
  5. That’s a new font — Geared Slab Medium — for the banner tagline.

It’s 8 p.m. New Year’s Eve, Sam is already home from work — three and a half hours early! — so we decided to celebrate with a mountain of food from King China (they deliver). Dinner, whenever it finally gets here, will include steamed dumplings, Orange Shrimp, Shrimp Egg Foo Young, Cashew Chicken, rice for Sam and a couple of free egg rolls that taste like feet.

I might surprise you and come back later, so hold a good thought. And in the meantime, HAPPY NEW YEAR, everybody!
