You don’t want to miss these excellent bargains.

It’s 5 a.m., I’ve got a throbby toe [see previous post], my feet are burning, my blood sugar is too low, my left thigh hurts and my right eye is watering. Other than that it’s really swell to be awake in the middle of the night again. How the hell are you?

To get even with the coffee table that was complicit in the aforementioned throbby toe incident I decided to replace it with a new one that doesn’t restrict my feet when I’m sitting on the sofa. I shopped a variety of different websites — Ashley Furniture, Amazon, Wayfair, Kirkland’s — but eventually ordered from Overstock.com because they had very cute tables, damn good prices, free shipping, no sales tax and an extra 10% off when I signed up for their email list.
In case you give a crap, I also ordered a box of PowerFactor AA batteries yesterday from Amazon because we run through them like crazy here for our cordless mice and assorted other devices. You get two dozen for only $8.25. I’ve been buying this brand for a couple of years and they last as long as name brand batteries at half the price. (For instance, 20 Duracells sell for $15.99.) I always thought PowerFactor batteries were the best bargain ... but oh boy, was I wrong.
Next time I’m switching to AC Delco because they’re even cheaper! Amazon sells 48 AAs for ten bucks in a clear plastic storage box. TEN STINKING BUCKS AND A FREE PLASTIC STORAGE BOX! Nothing else even comes close to a deal like that, especially when you also figure in free shipping with Amazon Prime. Holy crap.
I absolutely have to go back to bed now. Thank you for reading this.
