The Wasilla Hillbillies crash a party.

It was my original intent to include an Einstein Award in my last post but I didn’t want to overload everybody with too much of a good thing — you’re welcome — so I’ll post it now instead.

Giving trailer trash everywhere a bad name, the eldest daughter of former GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin broke her silence on Wednesday with a blog post about the role she played in a booze-fueled family brawl last month at a house party in Alaska. Bristol Palin has been accused by multiple eyewitnesses of repeatedly punching the homeowner, Korey Klingenmeyer, in the face after the Wasilla Hillbillies crashed his party. Although she vehemently denied the aforementioned repeated punching ever happened for three weeks following the event (despite police reports and audiotapes to the contrary), in her blog post yesterday Bristol finally admitted “he had it coming to him.” She also remarked that if Chelsea Clinton had been in her shoes, the media would have “held her up as some feminist hero. But it wasn’t Chelsea. It wasn’t Hillary. It wasn’t someone they liked or someone they agreed with. It was a conservative. And once again, the hypocrisy of the media is laid bare.”

So let me see if I’ve got this straight, okay?

Chelsea Clinton. The daughter of accomplished, educated and highly-respected parents, a class act who quietly goes to college, earns multiple advanced degrees and a Ph.D. from Oxford, works hard, gets married, has a baby. UNFAIRLY IGNORED BY THE PRESS.

Bristol Palin. High school dropout, pregnant at 16, loses “Dancing with the Stars,” commits drunken assault. VICTIM OF THE LIBERAL MEDIA.

I’m guessing we’ll never really know what the press would say about Chelsea Clinton crashing a party, rolling around drunk in the mud and punching men in the face because it’s pretty clear that Chelsea’s life has always been on a different trajectory.

One day America will have to make John McCain answer for the Palins. ENOUGH ALREADY.
